tempted me with
dangled bliss
now no one’s fool
and no one’s baby
shroud unwrapped
misfortune’s lady
all dark secrets
danced to life
such wicked torment
in harsh sunlight
i played along
for old time’s sake
giving more
than you could take
love softly whispered
upon discontented sigh
a momentary rest
until i could say goodbye
